When you move as much as I have...you know how it ends. You promise to stay in touch with people, but it doesn't work out. It never does. And you forgot about what the friendship used to be like, why you liked that person. And I hated it. And I just didn't want to do it again. Not with you. Morgan Matson
About This Quote

I once had a friend who moved to another city. We stopped keeping in touch after about six months. She was upset because I stopped calling her, or seeing her, or talking to her at all. The truth is, I just didn't want to do any of those things anymore.

It wasn't that she didn't talk to me, or that I stopped caring about her, it's that the friendship had changed. She was still my friend, but I just didn't see her as much anymore. I hated it when she left, and I hated it when she came back from living in another city.

That's how it is for me with people who move away from me. In the beginning of our relationship, we had a bond that was really strong. Our friendship was there for each other when times got tough.

But over time our relationship began to change. We were still friends, but we couldn't go back to the way we were before because of time changes and distances between us.
